Would you like to be a collaborator?
Celebrating | Songwriting | Performance | Production | Passion |
I actively encourage collaboration, I've found that each person I work with brings something different to the song, and they let me find ideas that I most probably wouldn't have found on my own. Of course hoping to write and release material: but that does not mean that everything needs to be 125bpm aimed at 12-18 girls, but I would lean towards co-writing with artists looking to release and established writers, that said I would consider most offers as long as you bring something to the table.
Collaboration methods
There are a range of collaboration methods that I've tried including;
One on One in the same room; This is the best way of working of course, but the world is a big place with lots of interesting people, and with current technology distance and time constraints are not the barriers that they once were.
I supply words (Requiring music); I have a fair collection of words that I've never put to music, in a wide range of styles, feel free to try something and send me back your musical interpretation.
I supply a complete song (requiring words); You can audition a wide range of completed tracks (lo-fi mp3), and if you find something that sparks you interest, e-mail me and I'll send you a better copy (if you have DAW software I can send it to you as individual or sub-mixed tracks)
Ideas (Unfinished ideas & sketches); These are just a collection of my unfinished ideas & sketches, and are open to much more radical surgery, feel free to hack them up and recreate anything that takes your fancy (again if you have DAW software I can send it to you as individual or sub-mixed tracks)
Web Chat video; I've only done this once so far, but the concept is good if your Internet connection is fast enough.

IMPORTANT ! The rules I work by
Before we even start, Collaborating with me has the following rules;
(1) The writing is an equal share partnership between all concerned.
(2) We would need to swap full name and contact information, for copyright purposes.
(3) If my demo is used as a released track that I get producer/engineer credit.
(4) I have a basic collaboration agreement, outlining these details.
