Sinner

Peter FitzGerald,
Aaron Pocock,
Song ID# 0804_05
Verse 1
I felt her calm
I felt her touch
I smelt her hair
And loved her so much
I felt the joy
Of holding our child
But after a while
I felt too much
Chorus x 2
Lord save me
From a cold & fickle heart
Let this broken singer feel
Let him feel true love
Verse 2
I felt alone
I felt denied
I asked for answers
But got no reply
I asked for love
She asked for change
And after a while
I felt too much
Chorus x 2
Lord save me
From a cold & fickle heart
Let this broken singer feel
Let him feel true love
Solo
Verse 3
I closed my heart
I closed my eyes
I lost the Dream
I lost the touch
I asked for truth
She asked for more
And after a while
I felt too much
Chorus x 2
Lord save me
From a cold & fickle heart
Let this broken singer feel
Let him feel true love
Song Story
In almost any post break up period, there is a time where the little doubting
voices of you own subconscious start chipping away dreams of a happy
future beating you self up "I was all my own fault", "Why couldn't I see", "What
an idiot I was" (Somebody stop me or I'll keep going). This is both a plea for
happiness and a look at what has been. PS. Yes, Aaron has to many Eric
Clapton records, but the style fits.
